NEW ALLIANCE
FIXED WIRELESS BROADBAND INTERNET

BRINGING SERVICE WHERE IT’S NEEDED

During the Covid crisis, the State of VT approached two veterans of the broadband industry, New England Wireless Co. (NEWCo) and Cloud Alliance, (each with more than 20 years experience providing high quality Fixed Wireless Service to the NEK ) about bringing high speed broadband Internet service to the wider Burke - Lyndon area.

In response, they partnered to form New Alliance, llc.  With partial funding from the State, and in cooperation with VELCo, New Alliance  constructed its network and was  providing service within only 4 Months!

Today we  provide service from towers in  Burke and Lyndon, and from other relay sites. Our networks are strategically located and can reach thousands of locations in the region using quality, cellular grade LTE equipment.

Because we are operating in a quiet, managed portion of the spectrum (“licensed-lite” CBRS under strict FCC rules), our systems can:

  • achieve superior performance levels compared to other using unlicensed, 5 GHz wifi based systems,

  • better penetrate wooded areas by operating at longer wavelength, lower frequencies

  • reach isolated locations in the process.

  • provide superior up-times

We are committed to this area. We continue to upgrade our networks on a regular basis, and to look for ways to better serve our customers!
